On March 08th travelbasys will present the research project iTESA intelligent Traveller Early Situation Awareness to an international
audience. This will happen during the EU-Japan Workshop on Big Data for Sustainability and Tourism organized by the University of
Applied Sciences based in Kiel. The workshop targets the exchange of ideas regarding Big Data Applications in the Tourism Industry.
As Tokio is hosting the Olympic Summer Games 2020 there is a huge public interest in handling crisis situations properly.

In competition with more than 150 consortia, travelbasys has prevailed in the area of mobility. travelbasys impressed with his proposal iTESA for ”intelligent Traveler Early Situation Awareness“, a nearly 20-member jury of experts from academia, industry and government departments and is therefore a key feature of a 3-year research project.
travelbasys wins the Software AGs Customer and Partner Innovation Award in the category Return on Investment with its first-class reports based on real-time data. The companys innovation builds on investments in legacy systems and integrates external data seamlessly from SAP. Reports are created without IT support through a self-service portal. The solution, which generated €150,000 in savings in the first four months, is expected to bring in €8.5 million in revenue and makes travelbasys a market leader in reporting.

At the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) in Boston again it became obvious that
travelbasys is heading successfully the international trend with its latest product renewal
„Where are my travellers?”. The central subject of the fair and the convention
was the minimization of risks for business travellers in areas of crisis. travelbasys has
already been offering the day-to-day localization of travellers in crisis regions by reports
called „where are my travellers?” since February 2012.
